JEFF REID - Me & MY GUITAR

SINGER ACTOR TEACHER

Jeff Reid is an accomplished vocalist, performer, and acting coach with an impressive background spanning Broadway, regional theater, live music performance, and arts education. He spent eight years in the Broadway production of Miss Saigon, where he also understudied the role of John for two years.

His regional theater credits include Pearlie in Purlie Victorious, Andre in Ain’t Misbehavin’, Papa Du in One Mo’ Time, and Marty in several productions of Dreamgirls.

In addition to his theater work, Jeff is a versatile and expressive singer whose voice moves effortlessly across genres and eras. He performs as a solo artist under his project Me and My Guitar, delivering reimagined cover songs that span decades and styles. Drawing from the full landscape of popular music, Jeff takes familiar songs and makes them his own, reshaping them with soul, grit, humor, and emotional honesty. Known for his fearless approach, he is just as comfortable belting out classic powerhouse songs often associated with female artists as he is delivering rock, soul, pop, or R&B;, always with his own signature style. He is currently working toward adding original material to his solo performances, with plans to introduce his own songs in 2026.

Jeff is a core vocalist and creative force within The NuGroove Project, performing alongside Anne as part of a close knit musical family built on collaboration, trust, and shared musical intuition. NuGroove is known for high energy, genre bending mashups, seamless transitions, and immersive performances that blend music, movement, and storytelling. A defining element of Jeff’s contribution is his instinctive ability to hear songs within songs, recognizing how melodies, rhythms, and lyrical phrases can be woven together in unexpected ways. This gift, shared across the NuGroove ensemble, allows the band to listen deeply, blend naturally, and move fluidly across genres and eras, creating performances that feel cohesive, creative, and alive.

It was within NuGroove that Jeff’s musical partnership with Anne truly blossomed. As they began performing duets on stage, a natural chemistry emerged that added an intimate, emotionally grounded layer to the band’s larger, high energy show. These moments became a signature part of the NuGroove experience and are now shaping what’s ahead. Looking toward 2026, this duet driven dynamic is expanding into more formal and personalized settings such as private parties, corporate events, and weddings. That same chemistry also leads Jeff to join Anne in Stix & Soul when possible, carrying the spirit and connection of NuGroove into stripped down duo performances built around vocals, rhythm, and shared musical language.

Beyond live music venues, Jeff continues to expand his creative reach into theatrical settings, drawing directly from his Broadway training and acting background. Through theatre based productions developed with the NuGroove family, he blends music, movement, storytelling, and character driven performance to bring concert experiences into performing arts centers and theaters.

Jeff holds a BFA in Theater from the University of Wisconsin Madison and is an alumnus of Circle in the Square Theatre School in Manhattan. With over ten years of teaching experience, he offers classes in acting and musical theater for ages nine through adult, bringing real world performance insight intoevery lesson.

His classes are designed to nurture creativity, build self esteem, and enhance confidence and selfexpression through monologues, scene study, song and dance, and improvisational work.

Whether performing solo, within an ensemble, in intimate duo settings, on a theater stage, or in the classroom, Jeff brings heart, professionalism, and a deep respect for the craft. His work is grounded in authenticity, collaboration, and the belief that the most powerful performances come from genuine connection.
